Approximately 20” x 30”, window art - Private Collection A self portrait and one of my favourite pieces to date. It all started when my great-nephew broke one of my treasured bowls created by artist Duane Perkins. I was devastated. Upset I tossed the pieces into the trash, only to dig them out again. Even in their broken state, they were still beautiful. A month later I created this self portrait using the broken pieces of porcelain as my heart. There are voids from the heart that I am holding in my hand in attempt to piece it back together again. I was truly heart broken. Created with stained glass, fused glass inserts, porcelain pottery and framed with mesh industrial wire and coat hangers. This piece won Best Stained Glass and Best in Show in the Prairie Stained Glass Show.
